??? Radeon X1K Demos on Geforce???

Hi.
Is it possible to launch these X1K-Series-Demos ("The Assassin" and "Toy Shop") on a Geforce-PC (like my 7800GTX)??? Cuz i wanna see it in real-time, not that video-crap. I wanna know, how many FPS do i get in "the enemies tech-demo" xD

Someone already found some modified files or anything like that?

i knew that they were MADE for running on X1K only.
But - for example - Games are also made to run with CD, and there are ways to play these without them. So, i thought maybe there was a way to run ATI Demos without an ATI Card... U know what i mean...

Definitively. However most nVidia demos and stuff are also "made" to run on nVidia (best), and sometimes they run better (read - faster) on ATI (heheh) ...

So the question is, since both top cards now have Shaders v3 and are capable of similar stuff - what make you sure they won't just run...?

nVidia demos also run on ATI. Why this should be any different and why there should be any stupid limitation to the X1300/1600/1800 series? What when half year later get another X2000+ card released? They stop work as well?
I just find difficult to believe that at the fall of 2005, someone was so stupid to limit the hardware on witch the program run to the known hardware + even to specific version of it (and ATM very lightly spreaded, so to add...) ...?

You sure it don't work? it maybe work slower or so (code - if card = nVidia, then framerate / 10 ), but it should work.

Well, they won't run that easiely.... cuz i tested it already.
It says, i need to install DirectX9.0c (which definitly is installed) and my card is not possible of "1010102 backbuffer format"... (some crap just ATI can think of ^^)

Okay NV demos run ONLY on NV cards unless you hack it. So browse some NV forums on how to hack ATI demos
