Pissed moving XP to a new drive

[B]I wanted to move my copy of XP to a new drive, went from one WD drive to another WD drive with the help of the utility that came with the disk, Oh my God, everything has gone awry. Now the copy is asking me to enter the code to activate the copy, is there any way around this problem? Gee Willikers Ned, whats a feller to do?

Fresh install.

Dude, I would SO have not done that! I'd be betting the only real fix will be a full re-install of XP on the new drive.

what?? i really hope that was a typo.. BUY another copy of xp? why in gods name would you buy it if you already own it? iif anything the cause of your problems is switching the install from one drive to another. you could try doing a REPAIR install by booting from the xp cd (so u dont lose all ur stuff) or, if that fails, do a format and a fresh install. ms will give u another code if u need one, but i dont see why you think a certain code could damage your system....
