Those fixes are useless if you just use the driver+Ati Tray Tools.

It should be 75% game fixes and 25% CCC fixes not the other way around.

Some people actually want to use CCC to be able to get all the nifty faetures missing from ATT... So for them, trust me, this is needed.

Is the x1900xtx Overdrive failing to initialize problem going to be solved?

the first maybe 5 boots on a clean installed system with 6.2's results in the overdrive section showing the temps and all the information.... any more and apon clicking the overdrive and bringing the page up results in a quick flash of the information and then the message saying unable to initialize overdrive information, please try again later.. but reguardless of how long i wait, bring up the CCC always shows this.

strange i might add..

aside from that..... Is there a way to FORCE HDR and FSAA apon an application that disables FSAA if hdr is enabled...

also why is it that ATI refuse to update there VISTA drivers 5270 is OLD NEWS ATI get with the program. dont follow what nvidia is doing stay with them becuse clearly they are leaders when it comes to fast driver updates.

played NFS:MW for awhile. seemed to run a bit smoother, unfortunatly the game is still completly unplayable in the later sections of the game with any shadows turned on.

BF2 seemd about the same as before.

For the 100th time "This is not a bug". Both those games use a nVidia propriatary shadow, thats non D3D spec. compliant, nVidia only. Its a shadow buffer thats done in hardware and is not present on ATI cards.

I have a Sapphire X1600 AGP, Seems to open CCC faster but it takes 4 to 5 seconds for screens to load inside CCC to change 3D or AVIVO settings.One good thing, seems like CPU usage is down when playing video files.

what i dont understand is why people cant appreciate the fact that having folks like Catalyst Maker visit and post here is a major benifit to US the end users. If we find problems, report them to ATI and hope we can resolve the majority of them. How often can you go out in the "real world" and ask question to the people that develop the drivers you use on your PC. I dont normally ramble on about this sort of thing but personally I feel somewhat privilaged having almost direct access to the source when I have problems.

Will the Catalyst drivers be recompiled to .Net 2.0 or is there another version of .Net that the Catalyst team is looking at?. and which .Net do you personally recommend.

I assume you mean the Catalyst Control Center (the catalyst drivers have nothing to do with .net)?

Yes CCC will be re-done for Vista launch with .net 2.0
I recommend using 2.0 installed on top of 1.1 and 1.1 Service Pack.

Side note. .NET caused me a bit of grief with Windows MCE lately, and screwed up my functionality. But i fixed it

I understand that ATI has nothing to do with .Net, the reason I asked is like you I have small issues with .Net. Mostly a problem with intermitant, momentary hangs on shutdown with it ".Net", with error messages in Event Viewer. It is my understanding this is entirely a .Net issue that occures with all .Net applications.

I just wondered which .Net you used.

My biggest problem is my x800 pro's performance issues in City of Heroes/Villains. 6.2 solved the problems the card had rendering CoV's water effects, but the bloom and depth of field effects still cause a much larger performance hit on ATI hardware than on Nivdia. Also, if either depth of field or bloom is on, or if water effects are on the high setting, antialiasing fails to work.

The entry in the change list for the 6.3 set seems to be exactly the same as the one from the 6.2 set, so I'm not clear on whether you guys have gotten any new fixes in with the 6.3 set or not. But once I get the chance to install them and play around a bit, I'll give 'em a try and see if any of this is solved.

Hmmm... When writing this it seems that the ati's support site is down? At least I see cant connect error... well I have time to upgrade drivers later now some good old Diablo 2 with full AA and AF

well i have used only .net2.0 and it has been ok

so why use 1.1 when it isn´t needed
well i ain´t gonna talk about shadows in NFS mostwanted since it isn´t a driver bug or so

actually i have no problems at all with either cat6.2 and when installed i´m sure 6.3 won´t cause any problems as well

but one question Terry is Adaptive aa ever gonna be enabled for X800 cards or isn´t it supported by the hardware?

Hello Terry nice to see you post here agian ,Will try these drivers out .Right now I`m having blurriness with my monitor ,It could be going or it could be the card itself ,it is like it wont deguass until like 10 mins after it is on then all is fine .
