problem while playing games in windowed mode

Hi I was wondering if anyone might have an idea as to what might cause/fix a problem I am having while playing games(specifically WOW).

When ever a mouseover tooltip or windows bubble appears, for example if I move the mouse over the start button and the "click here to begin" dialog pops up, while the game is running all video on screen becomes extremely choppy (<5fps) including the windows GUI.

I am using the latest omegadrivers (3.8.221) with a asus eax800xl video card.

Hmm not quite sure what you are implying, are you saying this is normal behaviour? I know this doesn't happen for other people I know.

windows x64 sp1 with 6.3 x64 drivers....

happens here to on any other game as well...

Don't run in windowed mode, as then it just like any other windowed app... Why would you
need it ran in windowsed mode? You text chating?

Tool tips / bobles are a feature of windows, can be disabled

[Start] [Run] [Regedit]
Registry Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\Advanced
Data Type: REG_DWORD [Dword Value] // Value Name: ShowInfoTip
Modify/Create the Value Name [ShowInfoTip] according to the Value Data listed below.
Value Data: [0 - ShowInfoTip Disabled / 1 - ShowInfoTip Enabled]
Exit Registry and Reboot

I think thats right one......

lol ya usually I play fullscreen but you guessed right it's because of text chating :P. Just wasn't sure if this was normal behaviour or not as I hadn't tried it till recently.

Get Xfire. That'll solve your chatting problems.
