omega 3.8.231 (6.3) : not switching all time in 3d frequ. mode oO

Hi,

First of all i tought it was ati tray tools doing some mess.
But .. it is not. I monitored core and memory frequencies, and i was confirmed that sometimes, about 3 times on 5, when launching a D3D game (not tested with opengl), the board will stay at 2d frequencies. Running less hotter but with 35%+ loss in fps .

I got a sapphire x1900xtx, latest version of ATT, dfi ultraD motherboard, and opteron 165 cpu.

The problem is solved when using officials catalaysts 6.4, even with ATT.
But, with these stupid officials, i can't use 1680x1050 res. on my dell 24" 2405fpw
(and yes, the right drivers for this monitor are installed)

Any solution ? Omega fix, or modified 6.4 catalyst with 1680*1050 included ?

Thnak you

I noticed that the problem is going when windows starts from shutted down pc or reboot. When i log, then log on, the problem seems to be solved.

...no omega developper in the area ?

answer from Ray Adams (dev. of ATT) :

sometimes, board will swith to 3D mode, sometimes not. This is issues of Catalyst. Hope I will finish overclocking support for R5xx soon so you will be able to create 2d/3d profiles in ATT instead of using Catalyst buggy 2d/3d option
