Radeon 9100 AGP problems

Thanks in advance for reading this. Before I begin, relevant specs:

AMD 2Ghz
512MB DDR
WinXP

Radeon 9100 AGP
128MB
Omega 3.8.252

With AGP Read and AGP Write enabled, the rate of random crashes increases exponentially (roughly two a day, under normal usage, no overclocking - compared to no crashes for weeks with AGP R/W off), and odd black lines appear above and/or below icons on my Windows display. Twice I've had to restore the system from a ghost image due to said crashes corrupting something Windows thinks is important.

Any suggestions, or should I resign myself to having a PCI card instead?

Do you have the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard? Go to the manufacturer
s website and look for the downloads for your motherboard and get 'em

Yes, done that - latest VIA Hyperion drivers. They didn't make much of a difference.

The card's seated properly... at least, it looks seated to me. Pressed it down and tightened the screw just to make sure.

As for alternate drivers, I've tried the NGOs and the stock ATI Catalysts, and with them I can't even turn on the AGP Read/Write functions.

Edit: Whoops, now AGP Read won't come on under Omega. Damn. Time to buy a new card?

Just reinstalled Omegas, AGP is back online, but the weird black line artifacts are back.

Haven't tried to make it crash yet, but I'm sure it's inevitable.

My BIOS doesn't seem to have any AGP settings. No aperture, etc... weird.

Edit: Sandra says:

Code:
SiSoftware Sandra

Video Adapter
Model : RADEON 9100 (Omega 3.8.252)
Chipset : RADEON 9100 Series AGP (0x514D)
RAMDAC : Internal DAC(400MHz)
Video BIOS : BK-AMI VER008.004.008.000
VGA Compatible : No
Total Memory : 128MB (128MB Video) (118MB System)
Texture Memory : 246MB
Supports DIME Texturing : Yes

AGP Capabilities

Command Queue Length : 48
Fast-Writes Enabled : No
Fast-Writes Support : Yes
Side Band Enabled : Yes

Should I be worried about the VGA Compatible = No line?

Sometimes newer Bios, you have to hit CTRL-F1 or such to get Advanced settings...
