??? When can we get omega driver for catalyst 3.1?

I used omega drivers for my laptop, and they works so good. Now, cat3.1 has been published, but mobility chips still are not in it...

Mobility chips aren't in the cat3.1s because only OEM companies use the mobility chips, and the OEMs prefer to release their own variants of the drivers in their own good time... I don't know if Omega is working on these new 3.1s - he might decide that they work plenty well, as he did with the 3.0s, and not worry about it, in which case its time to email and bug your laptop maufacturer

I don't think mobility cards have ever worked with ATI's official drivers. Heck, I haven't even managed to get official drivers working by messing with their config files even with all the tips from others on this board.

Just wait until the next tweaked driver from here is released.

(Compaq, btw, hasn't updated their ATI drivers for over six months, I think... pathetic.)

Don't worry, I already have them with support up to Mobility IGP345M.
I'm in the testing phase and a release should be expected for this weekend if everything looks fine...

BTW, the only problem I have found so far is with No One Lives for Ever, I play at 1280x960, 4xFSAA, 16Aniso, and the game keeps turning FSAA OFF in the middle of scenes, usually when I enter a big area, and when it turns off, the game gets VERY choppy, I'll say like 4 or 5 FPS max, and the only way to solve it temporarely is to go into the options, change the detail level so the screen reloads and enter the game again, but as soon as I LOOK to the big area, choppiness again....
I think it has to do with the new 16bit FSAA implementation, but I'll do some more tests to be sure...

One more thing, I don't have Mafia to test the problem, Whould the demo do? (if there is one... )

There is a Mafia demo.

And it should work to test. Dumb question, but which flavor of Radeon are you running right now Omegadrive?

Retail ATI 9700 Pro @ 351/330 (bios modified) in my PC, the Radeon 8500 non-OC in the Arcade machine and a GeForce 1 DDR in my wife's PC to test the nvidia drivers (Win98SE all of them, mine is the only one with dual boot).

In addition

I love the flight sim called IL2, I know you've heard of it, but the omega drivers actually improve the quality of the whole experience and allow me and those who enjoy stunning visuals to totally emerse into the experience....thanx again..

radical is on a distinguished road

HI omega I love ure drivers and thyve always worked well for me but in order to play project entropia Im having to run the l8est cat 3.1s and can't wait for ure version to come out ..............
just a problem I have with IGI2 that Ive posted and had answers to on another forum(hope thas not frowned on)
Its the large leaf patterns I get in IGI2 on my 9000 pro with the 3.1 cats and It appears It is something to do with the zbuffer@32bit ......... The workaround is to run the zbuffer 16 bit(without stencil) which hasn't been addressed by codemasters as i think they feel it's a driver fault not a game engine fault
the only workaround I know to run the game without the huge leaf patterns flashing all over the map are to be found in a post I found from 16th jan and was solved by coffindancer found here http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthr...&highlight=igi2
So if u fancy running the l8est IGI2 single or multiplayer demo could this be added to the list of things to be sorted or tweaked out in ure next driver set plz assuming u can emulate the fault on ure radeon 9700 ?? ..............
