DirectDraw Overlay surface

Hello all, I am trying to run a video app and its giving me the message ' DirectDraw overlay surface is not available '. Where can you enable this option? DirectDraw is enabled in dxdiag config, but i see nothing about the overlay surface

I'm going to try and update my drivers and see if that fixes it .. but please post if you know where to enable this option.

btw i have a Radeon 9800

Im no expert, but im sure the following will help others to help you;

Do you have the latest directx9.0c installed? Reinstall it anyways.
Exactly what video app are you trying to play/start.
Update to the latest 6.6 drivers and see if the problem is still there.

Well i think i know why, I tried the app on my notebook and it worked.

The thing is my desktop is running Win Server 2003, which works great .. but this app doesnt seem to like it. Still didn't work after reinstalling dx9 and drivers.

Going to install win xp on another partition and try that, should work
