CCC 6.7 vs. Bob-Interlacing vs. YV12 vs. Nebula DigiTV
Ladies and Gentlemen,
as we all know, the latest Catalysts were released yesterday and so I went ahead and installed this new driverset, but unfortunately there seems to be something broken with Bob-Interlacing in and with my DVB-T software DigiTV (please take a look at www.nebula-electronics.com for further information). I don't have an idea what is causing this problem, but since installing 6.7 on my machine (with a X850PRO ViVo) I get a distorted picture like from a defective graphics adapter/memory (which is not the case - hardware is doing fine) in the available overlays UYVY and YUY2 while using Bob-Interlacing in DigiTV to smooth out the picture. Changing the interlace-settings to "none" or "line average" in DigiTV makes this distortion go away but the picture a bit choppy. Since CCC settings doesn't have any effect on my DigiTV installation, there is no difference in changing anything in CCC to get it back working. And as another thing I am trying to get the YV12 overlay to work in DigiTV, but unfortunately this doesn't seem to work either. It isn't even recognized and needs to be activated via a registry tweak in DigiTV by hand. Is there any chance to get it working, since any Catalyst driver refused to support YV12 on my end so far. In the meantime, I switched back to CCC 6.6 which are working fine again (except for the YV12 thingie), but I would like to see a solution for the interlacing issue in 6.7. Anyone with a idea? If you need any other information, please don't hesitate to ask for it, I would like to provide as much information as necessary. Thanks in advance! System Setup: P4 2.8c GHz 2x512 MB Corsair XMS3500C2 C3D X850Pro ViVo MSI Neo2 FIS2R (865PE chipset) ... Nebula DigiTV USB 2.0 Box (Zarlink MT352 chipset) and lot's of other stuff... :-) Best Regards Last edited by Ananas; Jul 29, 2006 at 10:50 AM. |
