my card dropped dead today and i was wondering if your overclocking utility had the ability to change the clk speed in the bio of the card? i messed with your driver last night(no overclocking) and now shes gone. no one else seems to be having any problems so im wondering if in my meddling with your oc utillity if i fryed my card unknowingly

I have a radeon 8500 and when i did overclock it the highest without extra cooling was 285/285mhz and it would not last over 5 min. without graghical glichics.

The overclocker that comes with the Omega/Plutoniums resets your clock speed to defaults when you reboot. Unless you really jacked the thing up it seems unlikely that it would cook your card. Unfortunately I have no idea whether it flashes your bios, it seems unlikely though.

You cant change the bios settings like that from inside windows itself I do not think
thats why you still have to have a dos boot disk to do bios flashes in windows bios alteration wont occur until longhorn its part of the specs |

That overclocker does nothing to the BIOS, the reason we include it is because it doesn't mess with regestry or have extra files in the Windows\System or System32 folder, and we liked that idea, I use it all the time, haven't had a problem.
Just used it this morning to overclock my Radeon 8500DV to 300/195! Got 7674 3DMark2001 Points with it, not bad if you ask me...come on, ask me!

YO!
I've got beef... what do you mean clocked to default? (omegadrive) I know that the radeonator clocks your card at 275/275 at boot (even though mine is a 250/275). So that sorta sucks... and i don't use it any more... also... if you have oh core 270 and mem 330... it WILL FUCKING AUTOMATICALLY RESET IT TO 330/330 EVERY TIME YOU OPEN THE GODDAMN WINDOW.... So if i wann just adjust... oh ... lets say ogl lod bias... i have to also UNLOCK THE FCKING MEMORY LOCK... AND READJUST THE SPEEDS.!!!!! I HATE IT. just ranting... anyway... hope you werent using radeonator... good luck.

What clock speeds did you used during your CS session?
There IS a posibility to fry the card if you go TOO high and start playing after it, since the card will be overcloked ALL the time until you reboot. That's why, as a safety measure is good to overclock and test with every 5Mhz increase, just to see if the card is stable enough. Yeti, cloked to the default speed the BIOS has (the speed it had when you bought it, or the speed that you flashed to it), not the one radeonator and the likes do, unless you use them along with the overclocker... |

Hey, i was just sounding off... i didn't mean to offend you Omega. Personally... i gotta respect anyone who can put together a (good) working set of drivers. Good luck in the future... and i am looking forward to seeing the new 71's with the OGL patch.
