Treaders is on a distinguished road

Yeah tried lowering all settings and still freezes up if I don't lower the Mhz of my card. ATI think the card is defective and are sending me a free replacement.

Hello thankyou for your replys, I have posted on a few technical support boards and I had an email from a guy who told me he had same problem and no matter what he did he couldn't fix it. He said the only way he could get it to work without freezing is to use Rage 3d tweaker and lower the Mhz of the clock speed on the video card. I tried this (lowered from 277 to 261) and NO PROBLEMS! I can now run these games without any freezing all day long. Obviously I am pleased that I can run these games but it makes me wonder about ATI, there technical support basically gave up on me and all I can do to get the card working is to lower the clock speed, this is appauling and I will get a Geforce card next time, (And no I hadnt overclocked my card it was at default settings). I am going to report this to ATI and see what they have to say for themselves.

Again thankyou for all your help.

I have the same problems RMAed it back ATI says it fine! must be a hardware Issue .... really it worked fine for a year with no chages to the machine then it started happening, tried it in another simular system same thing... re-format install ... every driver known to man nope same things.... I am a pc tech and have tryed it all ... I gave up on it too... and yes I ended up buying a Geforce 4 4200 TI....

That ATI card is destond for Ebay alog with the letter from ati saying the card is perfecty fine .......
