Well everything works fine with Cat 6.7. It's just a driver problem, not because it's a DX9 card. And even "DX10" cards will emulate (as far as we know) DX9 effects needed in DX9-only games running with Windows Vista. You won't "get rid of all existing problems" just by switching from DX9 technology to DX10. I don't see your point, actually.

I like people admitting in their sig they xtrem overclock their box and then come here complaining about crashes?

No intention to offend anyone but:
I would seriously suggest the forum admin to withdraw write/post permission from all overclockers. They just spill the forum with their home made problems.

Well, nothing more to say...

Or just give them a special 'Overclocker' label? No need to Hitler-ise them.

You clearly don't know what an "xtrem overclock" is, that's for sure. You believe that my system is "xtremely" over-clocked ? That's a kid's game to over-clock like I did. And you don't know what I've done with stability tests, using all necessary stability testing utilities and programs for days non-stop without any crashes or issues whatsoever.

And I don't even know what I'm loosing my time with you. Do you know if I tested Cat 6.8 with over-clocked settings ? No. Of course you assume I did because it's written in my signature. Do you know if my system is currently over-clocked ? No. Do you think I come here updating my sig each days according to my system's status ? No.

And you seem not read posts well enough, since I clearly mentioned that everything worked fine with Cat 6.7, and that only Oblivion had problems with Cat 6.8.

Go ask for an "OC'er posts limitation" elsewhere. And if you find this "rude" I could care less.

Yeh, 6.8 got too fast for your box!

Frankly, noone here can see what u (or any other o'clocker) have done to your box - your box runs (or has run) outside manufacturer's specs and maybe has suffered from this time wrenching for higher benchmarks!? You can't be sure - even it might seem your box is doing well..

my 2 cents (pling)

I mostly test the drivers on all 3 computers just to be sure, of course the bugs not always show on all 3 gfxcards but often enough to see if it's a driverproblem or not. This time was harder since I patched the game and changed drivers at the same time.

1:
AMD XP2400+ XP-M
ATI 9800XT

2:
AMD X2 4400+
ATI X1600PRO

3:
AMD X2 4800+
ATI X800XT PE
