I'm trying to change my screen resolution from 1024 x 768 to 1152 x 864 but upon reboot....the settings revert back to 1024 x768.
I've tried this several times and the screen resolution keeps reverting back. Is there a way to keep the NEW 1152 x 864 pixel settings? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

As i understand your post, they're not changing but reverting. May have a solid reason...Maybe related to your monitor's limitation?
What graphic card / what monitor you use?

A few things we need to know:
1. Which driver version are you using? AND, if not official ATI drivers, which one? 2. If you're using 3rd party drivers, are you using the Display Adapter Control Panel or the particular drivers' app to make the change? 3. Which monitor and what are your system specs? CPU, Motherboard, Windows version, Video Card, etc? |

2) I'm making the changes via Display Properties (settings tab, move slider under "screen resolution") 3) Windows XP (sp2); Compaq Presario 6400; AMD Athlon XP 2600+; 2.13 GHz; 768 MB of RAM; RADEON 9200SE Video Card. As for the monitor, it's a STANDARD (old) model. I'm not sure how to get specific info on it. Thanks for your help. |

OK, do this:
Go into Device Manager and open the Monitor list. You may see more than one. REMOVE all of the ones listed. Once you have removed them all, reboot the computer and let Windows redetect the monitor. Once it does this, try setting the resolution again and see if it sticks this time. Good luck! |
