Newly installed X 1600 pro Please "HELP"

Hello everyone .. little history... self built had allinwonders 9700 pro..... Hurricane Katrina took everything but what would fit in our little car .... tower was first in the trunk last out cooked for round two weeks omg .........not good ... started with little glitches over the year and then last week crashed all together... graphicly that is .....2.4 intel P4 test ok after new paste for elevated heat @104-112 F. down to 94 to 98 F after..... WD 80 checked out great as well 512 kentwood memerory... ASUS P4PE great as far as I can tell.
Installed new Ati Pro 1600X after uninstalling all previous drivers in and out of safe mode all the way through regedit...
Reinstalled most recent drivers avaliable along with .NET 2.0 all several times, using help from post here in this great forum Thanks DH!
NO GOOD HAS BEEN DONE for all the time spent lol....

CLI.EXE - FATAL ERROR
CLR error:80004005
Program will now "Terminate"
Runtime I believe.
Called Cust. Care no help there pmsl....

Makes me want to go with a diffrent graphics company......any suggestions ???

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That Katrina is a bit too aggressive for my taste.

Try installing .NET 1.0 and 1.1 too. Cant hurt to try. If all fails, uninstall the catalyst control center and try using 'ati tray tools' instead (has almost all the options that the CCC has).

The only other graphics company you should buy cards from IMO are nvidia.
