Are matching Control Panel versions required for each driver version?

I'm just wondering if it is necessary to use a matching Control Panel version for each Driver version?

Or, can I just load any Driver version and use it with the latest version Control Panel and it will work?
This would save having to download a whole bunch of Control Panel versions...

cheers, drayzen

I dont guess you have to, but Ati recommends you do so why not . I have d/l the driver and a little hwile later d/l the comtrol panel and not had any problems from just running the new driver for a bit. You dont have to but i would say it would be a good idea

You can install a driver and use it without the control panels, but you really should keep the drivers and control panels matched. Other wise strange things happen. Missing tabs and such.

The control panels *should* match the driver used, because otherwise the instructions from the control panels won't match up with the tweaking controls in the driver itself.

You can run without the control panel, or you can try your luck with mixing and matching, or you can just DL the right control panel and not worry about it.
