Welcome to the "ATI error CODE 43 club" i have the same prob. (X800PRO agp)

One fix you can try is but be warned if your using a dual core cpu one of the cores will get disabled. at least thats my experience.

--------------------
Device manager
>Computer
>>ACPI
Change those drivers to the alternate ones.
Update drivers > browse comp for drivers > pick from list > choose the other driver option.

i have the exact same problem with slightly different specs

msi ati radeon 9800 pro, 128mb i think? (this is the problem)
1gb ra
p4 2.4ghz
asus p4s8x mobo

i dont know why it would switch between the system specs though...

anyone have suggestions? i saw the one about the ACPI driver, but i dont knwo which alternate driver you are specifying... can you clarify what do do? i only have a single core CPU so i just wnat the drivers to work... i need at least to be ableto play back video without lag.

An alternative to changing the ACPI driver is to open msconfig, select the Boot tab, click Advanced options, and set number of processors to 1. If you already changed the ACPI driver and want to change it back check the Detect HAL box.
