ATI x1600 Mobility problem

I'm using a x1600 mobility 256mb version on an internal display under windows xp pro x64 and it doesn't seem to recognise my card even though i've installed the ati radeon catalyst drivers it just says under the display settings im using a plug and play monitor on standard VGA graphics adaptor, so it's reverting to 16mb of built-in graphics memory... any idea on how i can solve this and get my graphics working properly?

aNy_oNE is an unknown quantity at this point
System Specs

Perhaps try some drivers that already support Mobility, I'm not sure which ones but I think Omegadrivers do (just off the top of my head).

I am having a similar problem. I have no Open GL or Direct 3d. I'm stuck using a driver from 2005. I'm starting to have compatability problems so I really want to upgrade.

Did you ever find a way to fix this?
