Hello there.

Just installed the 6.12b, which seem to be working fine so far.

However, even if i can turn on EATM through ATT, the Alphasharpenmode is causing my system to crash.

This does only happen with 6.12b, doesnt happen with any other set of drivers.

So is it possible to get rid of the checkerboard effect without enabling alphasharpening ?

Tired to force AA in ATT but no luck.

I have noticed a flash of black and brown streaks in BF2. When I disable it there is no problem.

Don't use ATT to do it, alot people having issues seem to be using ATT to do it. Just add EATM and ATMSHARPENMODE to the main ATI video director in the registry as a string and then give it a value of 1. It will differ for each system.
