opengl support in catalyst
Using an OpenGL extension utility it seems as though the drivers I am using (Omega v3.8.252) for my ATI 9200SE, only have 100% support for opengl 1.3, 86% for opengl 1.4, 66% for opengl 1.5, and no support for openl 2.0 or 2.1.
As stated from the Omega website, ATI no longer issue driver updates for the card I am using, but is there any way in which I can improve the opengl support, such as by using a newer atioglxx.dll file? (and would anybody know what the latest version is?) Thanks. |

You can try to use the atioglxx.dll of the newest catalyst release!
It may work, just try it out! bye |

There was a 6.11 release for older cards http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/x...rer300-xp.html
If there is any increase in capability to be had, that is where you will find it, but the llimitation in OpenGL support may reflect the hardware capability - not sure what level of OpenGL would be equivalent to DirectX 8.1 hardware.

Thanks for the replies and the link, I will give it a go and see how it works.
Update: Replacing the atioglxx.dll didn't make any difference. I think I will wait until the Omega cat 6.11 drivers come out and see how they go.. Last edited by Ananas; Jan 2, 2007 at 11:25 AM. |
