Trouble with the latest Omega Catalyst version

Hello all!

A few days ago my games started to show the blue screen of death, abit baffled because nothing had changed at all, noting installed, virsuses etc etc. So I decided to update my omega drivers to the latest ones.

When installation is complete I reboot the PC as prompted, but then it will freeze when loading up the desktop and never recover, other times it won't, but the screen will be really choppy and wavey. And on rare occasions it will load up very laggy then do a couple black screens and be perfectly fine.

I've tried installing ATi's latest Catalyst and it replicates the exact same thing, also tried installing and earlier Omega driver but same thing happens again (I can't remember what version the old one was that worked initially).

I've also tried installing through safe mode, changing some settings like fastwrite to on and installing softmod/normal drivers, but nothing seems to work.

I have read a few people similar to my problem but it doesn't seem close enough.

Also im pretty new to anything going wrong with a graphics card so please forgive me if it's such an easy thing to correct.

Here's my setup:

AMD Athlon 3000+ XP
Raedon 9800se
1024 GB RAM
Windows XP

after you turn on your computer kepp repetivley pressing F8 until a menu comes up. choose safe mode with networking. after it starts up choose administrator. then go to control panal, system , hardware, device manager, right click on your grapics card and click update driver. let it search automaticley (let microsoft connect to the internet) and it will update to the official driver. if this doesent work uninstall the driver then restart the computer.
