Hi all,
Because of another problem I have with Omega drivers I had to switch to ATI's latest 7.1 drivers with my X850xt on Win XP SP2. But now I have a problem with CLI.exe processes getting loose in the wild and multiplying like rabbits. When I am gaming in full screen (well, even when I am not but this is when it bothers me), I see CLI.exe instances starting and terminating every minute or so. Now this wouldn't be a problem if it was not causing the game to hickup for couple of seconds each time. When watching the process list while this happens, I can see that during these couple of seconds, there are several instances starting and terminating in a short time (I saw up to 5 instances). I tried disabling the hotkeys and tray icon in the ATI control center but it only removed like one instance of CLI.exe and I still have the problem during games. What's up with that? Any ideas? Thanks. - barduck |

I've never had CLI.exe problems like this. However, I eliminate a few running instances by not having an ATI icon in the task bar nor on the Desktop. What I'm wondering is if you have the ATI Key Poller active? I know with Omega's and ATT it's supposed to be disabled. |
