New Omega 3.8.330 install, Quake 4 & F.E.A.R. problem (FIXED!)

I just installed Omega 3.8.330 drivers and Quake 4 is giving me some problems with artifacts throughout the game (no problems with generic Catalyst 7.1) and when F.E.A.R. starts, the screen goes out of sync and goes to sleep mode. It's a 19" LCD so max rez is 1280x1024, also no problems with the generic Catalyst 7.1. Tried it on different refresh rates, same problem.

Quake 3 Arena, BF2142, HL2 and FarCry are all running fine. WinXP Pro and x1950 Pro card.

Thanks in advance

Edit: Ok, I got F.E.A.R. to play at a 1024x768 by editing the cfg file manually although I used to be able to play it at 1280x960 with generic driver w/o problems... Oh well, I'll live. I'm still working on the Quake 4 problem.

Edit #2: Well, after trying everything I could think of, I was unable to solve the Quake 4 problem so decided to uninstall the Omega drivers and try the DNA. That seemed to fix the Quake 4 problem but now I can't play BF2142 & F.E.A.R. on 1280x1024 modes. I said the hell with it and uninstalled the DNA and went back to ATI's Catalyst 7.1 but now I'm still having the resolution problem. I'm totally stumped and have no idea why my monitor's going out of range at that rez... *sigh*

Edit #3: Problem seems to be fixed with:

- unchecking the "alternate DVI operational mode" under Digital Panel Properties
- 3D Refresh Rate Override "same as desktop" under Display Options
