Hi KillerSneak,

are these drivers tweaked for image quality or performance? I need as many performance tweaks as possible for my X1600Pro

And another thing, the DNA-drivers are CCC and CP free, right? Why is the download so huge (40 MB)? If I take the display driver (9,7 MB), ATT (1 MB) and some installer stuff, I get maybe 15 MB. What takes the other 25 MBytes?

Just curious, I'm thinking of giving them a try...

Hi there,

They are modded for both more IQ and better/stable FPS (i try to)

This set has 64x support as wel, i try to stay under the Vista Driver limit. I was to do seperate X64 and X32 drivers the package would be much smaller

Does this mean that the final version download will be separate for x32 and x64 (please make it so )? I don't want to download something I don't need.

Sorry at this time it's 32x and 64x as it's more easy for the general public so they can download 1 driver for both 32x and 64x maybe at a later stage i could seperate the packages again.

I'm waiting on some people to test the 64x part (don't have 64x enough/active 64x testers)

OK, thanks. I want to try them so I'm probably going to download them anyway.
But keep that separation idea in mind
I think that the number of 64bit OS users is still very small.

Yeah could be but i have to cover all bases, and i think more and more users will step over to x64 as most new hardware (CPU's) are also 64bit (they support it)

Set the EATM values in the DNA-ATi Tray Tools and WoW should run okey

I would also like to note that I'm now able to release the next DNA-ATi 5.1.7.2 in seperate X32 and X64 packages

There will be the following versions:
DNA-ATi 5.1.7.2x32
DNA-ATi 5.1.7.2x64
DNA-ATi 5.1.6.5x32 Legacy

The 6.5 set was the last set to officialy support 7000/9250 Radeon's since the 6.6 support was dropped, the 6.5 set remained one of the better set's for legacy products so i'm building a seperate driver for those now

I tested that x32 pre-final DNA package. No problems in games so far, but I have a few comments about the DNA-ATT:

1. That red ATT skin is... really not good (my opinion).

2. When I try to start the 3D Renderer window this error shows up:
No support for Compressed Textures in OpenGL! Please update your driver.
This one follows after I click OK:
Access violation at address 00425EF4 in module 'atitray.exe'. Write of address 0000000D.

But this happens with normal ATT (version 1.2.6.964) too, so the problem is probably in the drivers.

3. Why is the CCC mode switch in Advanced tweaks hidden?

4. Why are D3D and OGL settings hidden (hide_ogl=0, hide_d3d=0) by default?

I ended up with my old ATT with copied DNA-ATT advanced tweaks databases

Correction: No problems in D3D games. I tested them with Doom3 and it doesn't even start. The error is folowing:
The current video card / driver combination does not support the necessary features.
I guess it would be something with the Compressed textures as in that ATT error.

1. I can change the color's but most users like it as it's the DNA-ATi theme

2. Ill have to look into that problem as it's the first report i get about the problem

3. Because CCC isn't installed with the DNA-ATi drivers nor do i want to support it at this time.

4. Because all can be handled with the DNA-ATi tweaks database Tweaks-> Advanced Tweaks

Ill also look into the Compressed Textures Error asap

Tested the x64 set and all worked fine. Just make it final now
The only thing is that i'm not familiar with the ATT and the navigation of it. For the tweaks etc it does not have to run all the time in the background, or?

Well i don't like to rush things, but i'm re-uploading the files as there were some minor install issues with the new PRE finals (dna-drivers frontpage)

Well letting it run shouldn't harm anything as it will take 1.2 / 2.8 MB's max and that's less than the CCC 20/30+ MB
