LCD display won't recover...
The LCD display will not recover the desktop properly when it is turned off. This did not occur with my CRT display. My google searches were probably weak but I'm tired of rebooting my pc (yes the pc is still actively working) due to the display not showing properly.
The display will attempt to "wake up" from mouse movements/key presses but will only display a black screen with the message 'no signal - digital'. It will then return to be inactive, indicated by the orange power light. The black screen has been random and the display does work properly. A friend of mine claims to have had a similar problem but uses a nvidia card/driver. -Viewsonic Optiquest 20" widescreen using dvi conn. -ATi Radeon 9500 pro -Radeon Omega Drivers 3.8.330 (Catalyst 7.1) - Asus A7n8x deluxe mobo |

I had a similiar issue awhile back. I didn't find a solution, but upgrading to the 7.4 solved the issue for me.

The problem seems to be fixed when the vga slot is used. Analog seems to have a slight dreamy haze compared to the digital.
