ati x1400
sorry in advance for my english.
and i know, it's my fault. i bought a notebook. my amilo pi 1536 has an ati x1400 ( 512 mb 128 onboard). everything ok since two week ago. no program or other driver installed. and that's what i see durin games (in this case during benchmark 2006, and only with this video). http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/8412/immaginehm4.jpg on other forum they say that this video test vertex shader..... i tryed all omega video and with them i have less problem, (v 2.6.75a and .net framework 1.1 installed). but the problem is: is this a software problem or hardware? tnx man |

There is no need to apologize for your English. I understood you just fine. The problem you see often happens when the card is overheating due to overclocking or other heat creating settings -- like overclocking and lack of airflow. Try this: Place your notebook onto a raised area so that the air can easily flow beneath it. It needs to be raised about as high as the thickness of a DVD case. If you have handy a cooling rack on which bakery is placed to cool after baking, use one of those...or something similar. Try the benchmark again and see if the same thing happens. If not, then it's definitely a heat issue and you need to work on better airflow/cooling for you notebook. Don't place it on a solid surface with a table cloth or other soft material beneath it. This is something to do even if the problem still occurs. Let's see if the heat issue can be eliminated and how it affects the problem before we try other steps. Good luck. Post back soon. PS There's a good guide on video related problems and their causes here: http://www.playtool.com/pages/artifacts/artifacts.html
