ATI & Delta Force BlackHawk Down

Seems I have corrected some issues I was having in 3DMark03 freezing up on me to continue having Delta Force Black Hawk Down continue freezing on me on occassion... I searched the Novalogic webpage until I came accross the following:

Q: I have a Radeon 9700 video card and during gameplay the game will lockup my computer.

A: We have found that ATI's 9000 and 9700 video cards have a tendency to overheat and cause the computer to reboot. Some users have found that adding a slot fan to their computer has resolved the problem. For further information, please contact ATI for a solution to the issue.

If there any truth to this claim of theirs? As this is the only game currently locking up I'm getting the feeling its not, but ya never know I suppose.

I've had no such problems.

I have not had any problems with mine either, I did put a slot fan under my card but that was so i could squeeze some more out of it O/Cing it. The radeons do put out some heat but i dont think that is your problem if that is the only game or app it does that to you on.

Try updating it to 1.0.0.10d, fixed som gfx glitches and improved fps a bit for me.
