can't install omegas latest drvr

Win ME have v 2.5.76 up and running ,have tried inst ATI & OMEGA 3 series, they won't inst. Have no record of any in Add Remove PROGrams.Other installs of each type were done without any prior removals.Now I get as far as the unpacking & the ATI screen then nothing ( with both types) I know it says to remove CL PNL, but I can't thru ADD REMOVE.OMEGA wrote a guide for WIN 9x but ME seems to be a little different.
I need HELP (understatement0
