x1600 Pro 256MB AGP 8X Issue
hey folks,will you kindly help me on this?i have GeCube ATI x1600 pro 256mb agp8x card.after a clean install of updated Catalyst 7.4 on winxpsp2,windows wont show d loggin screen,my monitor turns to a standby-mode.it always happen after i installed new catalyst drivers.Currently,im using the old driver that where provided by GeCube when i bought my card.I want to update it using the latest version of Catalyst.Will you guys help me on this one.thanks.

With the current drivers working that allow you to get into Windows, please do this:

Right click on My Computer and then select Manage.

Now, click on the + at the front of Event Viewer to expand the selections.

Click on Applications and take note of any warnings/errors that have occured at the time of you failed boot into Windows.

Do the same with System.

Let us know what the errors are that show up there.

im not using d HDMI. i just want my card to be updated with the latest drivers of ATI. even on earlier versions (e.g. 6.x), im still getting that issue.

i do found out in the Event Viewer > System about 8 same errors showing this

omg i just wanted to bay this ATI card, did you try ti instal omegadrivers ?? for ati
mabey can help,

and i have 1 question by my self
about Counter Strike game low FPS at ATI cards
game playable fps is 100( only nvida cards can do that ), nvida4 mx 440 will give much more fps then any ATI radeon
x ... or wat ever serial ... with ATI you can get 80 fps max wat ever card you have and with nvidia you will got max ( 1oo) eazy ) general problem is in OpenGL drivers, is there some fix or some tool or something where i can fix that DAMN problem with ATI and Counter Strike. on internet you can found some ATI ultimate Counter Strike drivers but cant work with any new grafic cards...
can ati drivers .. control panel dont have much options for open GL mod why that ?
os if someone have some answers on those questions plizz say

i installed evrything. fomr d latest ATI official Catalyst to latest Omega drivers without any luck.pls do help me with this one or any of you guys.

Have you installed the latest BIOS and motherboard/chipset drivers for your system yet? If you did a clean Windows installation but haven't installed the drivers for the motherboard, it can cause this problem.

yup, i did all of those.from clean windows install to SP2 to update all drivers.
