ATI Counter Strike Problem !

hi ppls i want to ask for some help about Counter Strike game on ATI radeon cards
in counter strike you cant get more then 60 80 fps in game
with any ATI radeon grafick cards ! why that ???
nvidia gf4 mx 440 will have more fps ( 100 max ) in game then any ATI, 10 times better graphic card!
is there some drivers fix or something that can help for this, counter strike is runing in OpenGL mode, so some OpenGL fix for ATI or something that can work with ATI X serials of graphic cards.

thx and sorry for my BAD eng

Actually ATI cards work much better on Half Life based mods ... although you do not clarify which version it sounds like you are refering to CS 1.6 based on the OGL refrence. Older CS versions, not source, are best when played with drivers which are older and or modded for CS such as these Link.

Good Luck and happy gaming

System Specs

old games are best with old drivers like 4.10 or 4.12
that and your internet connection and every PC connected
to the sever, and the sever and your fps are LINKED.

Hmm, in both Half-life1 and Natural Selection (HL1 mod) i can get over 300fps with max CCC settings.

Make sure that you set max fps to 101 (it will be 100 ingame) by typing "fps_max 101" in console. Also try using "developer 1" and see if it makes a diffrence. And finally, disable any Vsync in your CCC - its under 3d settings and keep it "always off".

This is with the latest 7.5 drivers.

However, in Vista im suffering from reduced gamma in HL1-engine games. Even putting the gamam/brightness max, my screen in those games are VERY dark.
