So right now im running a pentium Duo Core at 2.8 ghz with 2gb ram ATI x1950 PRO running the ati 7.4 with Omega drivers (not the latest omega realeased on the 11th which i will try next) Everytime i go into counter strike if i set the ingame to 16 bit i get 100 fps no prob but when i set it to 32 bit i get locked at 60 (as if i have vsync on) but i have vsync off and all the proper settings in counter strike. When i use the full out ati drivers it works fine (but i hate them) it seems only when i use the omega it does this. Any help would be great thanks.

This particular problem can be difficult to troubleshoot. But, when I've experienced similar situations with Omega's drivers, it's usually due to the monitor being somehow restricted to the TV OUT refresh rate, which is 60 Hz. Try this: Using ATT, right click on the ATT Icon in the Taskbar. Scroll up to Display and then move over and select Settings. Now, on the next screen, click on the DDC option for your monitor. Then, Uncheck the "Use DDC Information" option. After doing that, select your 100 Hz selection -- IF YOUR MONITOR DOES SUPPORT IT -- and then OK out of everything. Try the game again. Good luck! |

Did you install Multi-Res? If so, have you tried using the settings with it?
