Will we see faster performance with the HD 2900XT with Cat 7.6?

I noticed absolutely no performance gain with Cat 7.5 and was wondering
if Cat 7.6 will change that for us?

System Specs

Well in theory it will never be worse, so hope for the good side!

For example, run this benchmarking program called Sanctuary by Unigine. I like this program because its very GPU dependant, small and it's benchmarking time is less time consuming then 3DMark. The HD 2900XT is keeping pace with a gts 640 at any resolution. This makes no sense to me based on what this video card has to offer vs the GTS640 (which only offers 128 megs more memory) and do hope we start to see some performance increases soon. If not, then I am beginning to wonder if it's true we are limited to only a portion of this video card's performance?

Edit: I noticed something odd that I cannot explain in which I find perplexing at this time. It appears that whenever I OC the HD 2900XT and use the in game AA/AF settings I notice that it performance is similar to those with GTS 640 when using the Sanctuary (be it oc or otherwise...apples to apples). But what's intriguing is that the PCB temps (using ATI TOOL) remain around 49C to 51C. However, when I use CCC to enable AA/AF BOX, Narrow or Wide I notice a nice performance increase in frame rates. However, the PCB gets hotter at 55C, etc. I wonder if the only way to take full advantage of the R600 arch is if you limit your use of AA/AF to CCC? I see no difference in IQ between in game AA/AF and CCC's AA/AF and various settings. Intriguing...

OK Cat 7.6 is released but has anyone noticed any performance gains?

Why don't you try them and see for yourself

From what i hear there is only minor performance increase but mostly seen in some bencmarks and not in real world gaming

You can install them for the fixes they provide
