ah my young padawan, you must remember that Terry has said that he is going to try to get it released within 4 weeks this time since he really wants to get these boosts out to us

Yes I like that Theory...... I know I want to see the increase. Can anyone enlighten me as to which of the current methods will produce the best results?

Riva Tuner 12.3 with Soft9xxx script?

or the method in shuki's post found here ?

I have a 9500 Pro so I am aware that I can't get the 256bit enhancements

XP1800+
XP SP1
512 Meg PC2700
MSI 6712 KT400 / VIA 4 in 1 4.46
Sapphire Radeon 9500 Pro
SB Audigy

Hence the phrase, "HE WOULD LIKE TOOO", the 6 week cycle sounds more like the real deal. The last thing he/we (as in the consumers)/ATi is to have a rushed out a set of drivers. Rush=mishaps.

(edited)
Sorry, my mistake... Corrected.

What should I do?

Will my 8500 128 benefit from 3.3? I have never had any problems with Omega Drivers yet....seems kinda wierd, and I don't use Smartgart either, what am I missing? strange....

Catalyst Maker always said that every new driver release will bring benefit to every Radeon based card, being extra performances or new features.
So yes, there will be some advantages for your 8500 too, probably not much about speed but instead better compatibility with newer titles.

Maybe because he just bought UT2K3 and was thoroughly impressed by the blatant mind washing attempt?

Maybe it's because of that cool "MX" instead of that louzy "Pro" .. who wants a Pro when you can get an MX?

FX? . sounds weaker.. since.. F comes before M in the alphabet.. and if the FX was a high end card.. they would've called it HX... nope.. F stands for FAN

Fan Multiplyer actually.. the higher the number before the FX (5600/5800) the more noise is generated..

oh the simple logic of such

ATI Catalyst 3.3 Released Early By 3rd Party OEM

Just saw over this over at Warp2search.net, looks like Dell have released the Cat 3.3 set early.

Quote:
The long awaited Catalyst 3.3 driver suite has been released earlier by a large OEM partner of ATI, which leaves the conclusion that the official generic drivers will see the light of day this week. The high anticipation results from ATI's unofficial announcement that the driver will include the R350 rendering path for R300 hardware, which should result in an overall performance increase of ~5%. Here is the low down on the release.

OS: Windows XP Only
Version: 6.14.10.6334; Control Panel included
Supports: 9700TX/9700Pro/9800Pro
Language: English
WHQL Certificate: Yes
Date stamp: 03/23/2003
