Did you select "Driver Level" as the Overclocking Method? Also, have you allowed ATT to Disable the ATI Hotkey Poller?

Which version of ATT are you using? There's a newer 1053 Beta version out now. Click the link below to get it:

HD2600 is not supported by ATI tray tools at this time.

None of the R600 based are supported for overclocking, that is why. The only way to overclock those cards atm is with CCC Overdrive (needs 8pin PCIE) or with ATI Tool or RivaTuner....Neither can be used in Vista x64 though unless you disable driver signing, but since your using XP its only the program not supporting R600 at all actually.

I was of the impression that Ray had incorporated OC for R600 in the latest Beta. I can't confirm as I don't have an R600 card. ??

Not to my knowledge, I have had no luck with it.

I will check it again, I havent in a month or so, but last I knew he was working on it. It would explain speedy's "low level driver" failure that it does not fully support the R600, however Catalyst Overdrive should work.

@Speedy CCC Overdrive is a feature of Catalyst Control Center, which is only available when you use the 8pin PCIE connector with 6pin PCIE (only available on HD2900 series)... If you use CCC you will see the option for "Overdrive" in the advanced control panel. Follow the steps from there to use it, however I dont recommend it if your card is using stock cooling, or if your case has poor circulation.

But use the Unlock button, and run the automated overclocking tool in Overdrive to get an OC. I wouldnt expect much of an OC outta the 2600pro though.

EDIT: And as of 8/29/07 the R600 in any iteration is still not supported in ATI Tray Tools for overclocking, or anything really for that matter.

EDIT2: How much experience do you have with overclocking Speedy? Before I explain rivatuner

oh ok ChaosMinionX, I try RivaTuner and couldn't understand how to overlock my graphics card so I gave up and use Cataliyst Control Center to overclock.

Yeah maintain that, CCC wont kill the card like RivaTuner can. It does thermal vs clock things.

Well thats how Overdrive works, it runs a series of workloads on the GPU to generate heat and it monitors the heat output of the card, and adjusts the overclock accordingly. It changes Core and Memory speeds only, it has no control over voltages it does thermal vs heat according to stock voltage, and some parameters they have already instated for the said card.

You may also do your own testing, and set your own clocks for the card by adjusting the sliders as well.
