I just hope they fixed the goodarn vpu recover not working correctly since Cat 7.9

got sick of my screen turning off on at random times under certain webpages and very specified times.. ( totally random websites, but always when browsing with firefox)

the monitor turns off, like it lost the signal, but I can turn off the computer with no problem and restart...
the problem is.. with cat 7.8 and cat 7.8 hotfix the vpu recover did its job and recovered each time the driver hanged.

7.9 hotfix using XP w/hd 2900XT disables 1680x1050 Resolution
I have tried a few games and 1680x1050 is no longer a selectable option. Even when i try to force it the game reverts back to 640x480. The games that were already set to 1680x1050 have reverted back to 640x480.
Games affected: ALL OF THEM
Video Cards Affected so far: HD 2900XT, 1900 series
OS: XP with SP2
Also, using the Display Properties, 1680x1050 is also missing from Screen Resolution. What that means is that I can no longer change my desktop to 1680x1050.

What the heck is going on? This didn't happen with the other 7.9 drivers!
