sapphire radeon x800 pro vivo - drivers - video in solution [omega drivers]

Hi

This is a solution not a request

I got a used sapphire radeon x800 pro vivo and could not get the cd or ati 3d drivers to work with games, and the multimedia centre would not work probably as it is not an actual ati card, but I need the video in function ........ [I'm not into the modding pipeline route]

after installing the omega drivers and the ati capture drivers I can now use the video in function in uk pal I format

Media Player Classic is ThE alternative / replacement for ati video in / tv in
using the ATI T200 AVStream Analog Capture device

It really looks great with no probs here

I just thought I'd post this as I had a nightmare finding any video in solution - many other apps did not work correctly [ie juddering stutter etc]

hope this helps someone

Thanks for the post!

I've found that using Windows Movie Maker's capture capability works as well. I gave up on the ATI MMC after it reached v. 9x.

Thanks Dyre

Windows Movie Maker can capture, but it is really just a capture device.

I need a real time adjustable size 'video in' window with no controls [sometime 'always on top'] visable so I can use my computer and watch TV at the same time in a non obtrusive window (as well as capture) and MPC seems to be the most stable for me for this. I have no TV !!!

I do use virtual dub for capture though.

cheers
