System Specs

Fan speed.

I don't know if the GPU fan is supposed to rev up automatically with standard ATI drivers or not. It doesn't on my Powercolor X850XT PE and it never has, except for a short while when I tested the 7.9 drivers after they just came out.

That's the only time it's happened. I reverted back to 7.8 because .9 gave me system lockups, then I tried the latest Omega, and now I'm giving 7.9 a go again just to see if it was temporary, which it obviously was since it's not doing it anymore.

The only solution is to use ATT for this. The strange part is though, I only need to start ATT and then play a little and check that the fan revs up, then I can shut ATT down and it continues to rev up and down depending on GPU temp.

I smell something fishy here which I can't quite understand.
