What's New in Omega Drivers?
v3.8.421

[*] Based on the Catalyst 7.10 Official drivers.
[+] Added support for ALL the cards that where missing from last release. (Thanks to all the people that sent their unsupported IDs)
[F] Reworked the settings for lots of cards, now the drivers should be more compatible with Mobility chipsets and others.
[+] Added a temporary fix to the AGP problems (some cards not working) until ATI releases an official fix.

What's new for ATI Tray Tools?
v1.3.6.1064 Beta

[F] Fixed localization for CrossFire dialog window[*] Updated ini files handling procedures to be more compatible with Windows Vista[*] Improved compatibility with IE7 under Vista with UAC enabled???
[+] Added new localizations
[+] Added option to change "Black and White level"
[F] Fixed OSD rendering problem with Overlord game. (Thanks to Unwinder)
[+] Updated Overlay color handling procedure to support new ATI Overlay color modes
[+] Implemented Save/Restore icon positions under WinXP 64 and Vista 64.
[+] Updated support for Adaptive AntiAliasing. Added support Multi-Samplinmg and Super-Sampling modes

I was considering buying a x1950 pro or maybe x1650 pro agp. can`t reAlly go for a new
machine just yet so. anyone recommend one or scare me off ?
considering a HIS x1950pro since sapphire has this bad heatsink reputation.

I'm not presently using XP, so, I can't test this at the moment. But, I'm getting reports that the driver installation is requesting the file "ati2mtag.sys'.

Please refresh my memory and tell me if this is related to the WDM files or not.

If not, what is the solution?

I can't seem to get your download link to work in FireFox or IE.

edit: ok.. I found this note on your site:

(If clicking on links gets you back to the main page, make sure to allow/enable referers and java in your browser or internet security program)

But HOW do I allow them?? What a hassle.

I checked my settings and they are correct.. guess I'll wait for a different mirror or something.

I had the same issue so I downloaded them from Guru3d instead, no biggie

Why I always have to screw something up?

Is not part of WDM, is part of the display driver, when I was building the new install scripts for the AGP boards I skipped the file copy of the main display for PCIe, damn it!

The file is there, just not been copied to the main driver installation folder, I'll do a re-release, sorry for to all that had this problem.

It doesnt work for HD 2600 I think, I installed it and it didn't detect it and I'm having trouble with scrolling and stuff

If your card's ID is NOT between those, then yeah, they will not install properly and you need to send me your card's ID so I can add support for next release.

What ID do u mean? It's a Radeon HD 2600 PRO, but I dont know what ID

Aw, damn, mine is

I hope u can add it to the next release. This probably means I have no hope, I tried 7.6 to 7.10, I get ''Setup did not find any compatible drivers for your hardware setup'' on all of them, I tried Mobility Modder, but no luck, Omega also wont work till the next release

Ok, added already, so next release is 100% sure the drivers will install.

If you want to add support for current release just send me an email and I'll explain how you can install them, that is, if you are comfortable with editing a few text files.

Thanks for the help. When you say temporary fix for the 1950 AGP, do you mean a 7.6 or 7.7 D3D version in your driver or did you tweak the 7.10 D3D driver to work with the 1950 AGP?

I included the Cat 7.7 D3D driver and when people choose AGP in the installer the 7.10 ICD gets overwritten by the 7.7 one, so when they install all works properly.

I've a problem, when I open desktop shortcut "ati 3d control panel", he says me: search "Atiprbxx.exe" in C:\Windows\System32

I tried open atiprbxx contined in "\Radeon Omega Drivers\v3.8.421\2KXP_INF" but nothing is happened...Then I tried copy "atiprbxx.exe" in C:\Windows\System32 folder and I opened Ati 3d Control Panel on the desktop....

nothing is happened
I've a Ati Radeon x1650pro AGP 8x, a Athlon 64 3000+ skt 754, WinXp Pro SP2, mobo Asus X8V-X SE...

I was trying to update my drivers for my Mobility radeon 9000 using the omega drivers. I went throught the whole installation process and restarted my pc. When i tried to load any game it came up with the error "Unable to initialize 3D output Please verify you have installed directx 8 and an updated video driver.
