Hardware Acceleration not working

I've been having a problem the last couple days that I can't figure out how to fix. First off when I install any ATI drivers, I get an at2mtag message:

CRT invalid display type

Then no Direct3d apps will load as well, I have no idea i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling a million times over to no success. I tried running the dxdiag tests for direct3d and got these messages:

Direct3D 7 test results: Failure at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x80004005 (Generic failure)
Direct3D 8 test results: Failure at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x8876086c (error code)
Direct3D 9 test results: Failure at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x8876086c (error code)

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry should've looked around a bit more, turns out the Omega drivers fixed it for me, what a saviour!
