Driver needed for X800xt AIW AGP

Hello all.
I just did a clean install of XPSP2 and installed the latest catalyst suite 7.11 only for my X800XT AGP ATI Brand card. I am not using the card anymore for AIW purposes. After I got the drivers installed, I installed BF1942 and the game wouldn't launch. I got an error "Unload debugging utility and try again" or something similar to that. After troubleshooting for a while I found out it was something in the catalyst suite 7.11. I uninstalled it and installed whatever drivers came on the pressed cd with the card. After doing that the game worked fine.
I am looking for a catalyst suite or omega driver that is later than my pressed cd that will work.

In other words what is the latest and greatest driver for the x800xt that will work really well? Maybe 6.2 omega suite???

There have been issues with CAT drivers from 7.7 to the present with AGP cards. Omega says the his latest drivers DO support AGP cards. So, you should give those a try. Otherwise, many others have reported the most stable drivers are the 6.11s.

Let us know which set works the best for you.

Also, if you just did a new installation of Windows, it's time to check the motherboard site for the latest chipset/motherboards drivers as well.

omega 7.10 is perfect for you, & you'll also need the 7.10 WDM driver from the ati site to stop the 'found new hardware' popups once the drivers are working

i used to be on omega 6.10 or so, but 7.10 reduces some opengl stutters (like ETQW)

edit: (& of course, pick AGP, & old i2c mode thing in the omega setup)
