TV Out Aspect ratio.

Just thought of something that has annoyed me a bit.

Until I got a WS LCD monitor I didn't think to much of it but now I do.

I've had a WS TV for almost 10 years now and I've always had to change the aspect ratio manually on it when I use TV out. I just tried to see if there was a way to do it in CCC but I just can't get it to work.

I run my LCD at 1680x1050 and TV at 1024x768 since that's the highest I can use on the TV. The closest resolution I can find to use for the TV is 1024x480 but that's not any good, it's the wrong aspect ratio.

Just wanted to check if there is a decent solution for this or if I just have to continue changing it manually on my TV depending on what type of movie I'm playing.

Norfolk is on a distinguished road

hm... i have a 4:3 crt monitor and a 4:3 crt tv - never encountered such problems. i use the settings "theater mode - source video - 4:3"

and while usually the tv gets a clone with panning and lower resolution (800x600 i guess), all movies play in fullscreen on the tv. i use zoomplayer or bsplayer, fullscreen didnt work with media classic player i.e.

Well, I'm nog cloning the desktop, I'm extending it instead. Don't know if that makes any difference.
