radeon 9800 clone/theater mode issue

I recently updated my drivers to the latest Omega version, upon doing so it has broken my previous setup of my monitor being cloned to a TV and the TV playing video files at full screen

In the current situation the movie will just play in its player on both the monitor and the TV, the TV will not go to full screen as it is set to in the theater mode options.

Using ATI tray tools, powerstrip and ultramon made no difference

I decided to go back to the old drivers to try and fix it but they are now doing the same thing. I've run several programs to tidy up the drivers and they are all reporting there are no ATI files left but still installing the drivers from fresh I get the same problem.

Running in extended desktop mode it does work but I really dont want to run like that

Can anyone help???
