exclamation Help with ATI IGP 345M

Hello! I'm just a newbie here. The latest ATI driver is Catalyst 8.2. Will this do with your modder? I have an old Sony PCG-K35 with an ATI IGP 345M and my search for an update led me to this forum. Can I use your modder on this unit? I've been having some problems lately (ATI External Event Utility Module has ecountered a problem and needs to ...). Does updating my driver address this problem? Also, the ATI downloads page has broekn down the download. What happens if I choose to download only that for Display Drivers? Thanks. Any input will be much appreciated.

Here are some of my unit's specs.:

Thanks. Better now Yeah the mod tool can add support for your card.
Get the tool here : http://www.hardwareheaven.com/modtool/
And remember to read the instructions

btw. the best way to avoid text visibility issues is not to use font colors at all.

Hello again. I've installed the modded driver last night (I did use the Catalyst 8.2) following the instructions to the letter. The installation went off without a hitch and I tried using the "Click to DVD" and "Roxio MyDVD" applications but both failed to run. The error message for both applications was basically that my graphics card isn't up to the task (which it was BEFORE I installed the modded driver). I ran the DirectX Diagnostic Tool and it surprised me that I seemed to have lost the Direct 3D Accelaration and AGP Texture Acceleration capabilities of the card. I can't even use the 3D Hardware Acceleration option of the game Zume Deluxe! I have this notion of re-installing DirectX 9.0.c in the hopes (however slim) that this might do the trick.

What should I do now? Also, must I really use the entire Catalyst package (DD and CCC) or just download and use the display drivers? I noticed in the ATI downloads page that the DD and CCC files can be downloaded separately.

Sorry to bother you again and I thank you guys for the all the hard work and effort to help noobs like myself find solution/s to our problems.
