Sad Serious problems after installing Omega drivers.

Hello,

My video card is Radeon X1950 pro by Powercolor (PCI-E).

I recently installed the game Neverwinter nights 2, but it worked very badly and crashed often (Once It crashed so badly that after restarting my PC I had to restore my computer trough a restore point).
I went to the forums and they said there that I should try the Omega drivers.
I downloaded the drivers, uninstalled the ATI drivers I had and installed the latest Omega drivers.

After I restarted my computer I noticed several problems:

1) After logging in to windows a window opened saying that I have a new hardware and I should install drivers for it (That was after I installed the omega drivers), And after I pressed "Cancel" it said it cannot find the drivers for my card. Also when I went to the Device manager it said I have some strange "Unknown device" On my video card. I tried playing some games such as call of duty 4 and they worked fine with about the same FPS as before, so I think the drivers are working, but I want windows to recognize them.

2) I used to watch TV on my PC by connecting a receiver box to my graphics card with a line-in cable. I used the program Beyond TV. After installing the Omega drivers this no longer works. The Beyond TV program said it couldn't start live video and that I should run the setup wizard, but after running the wizard it still didn't work.

3) After turning on the computer, the monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 931c), sometimes does not receive information from the video card and stays black. I have to turn the computer on and off several times to make it work.

4) Loading windows takes much longer (getting to the user login page). Also sometimes the computer gets stuck (after the windows loading page but before getting to the user login page) and I have to restart.

Btw, the game NWN2 now works without crashing, but I don't think the problems mentioned above are worth it .

So, if you know how to make my computer work normally with the Omega drivers please write it here...

3 & 4 sound odd.. as if your whole windows is starting to mess up (&/or power supply)

1 & 2, you probably need the WDM drivers from ati Catalyst™ 7.12 Software Component Downloads for Windows XP Professional/Home Edition 7.12 is omega's latest right

Thanks, I downloaded the drivers and it fixed 1 & 2.

I fixed 3 & 4 by switching the monitor cable to the other exit on the graphics card. It seems the computer was not getting stuck but the monitor was just switching off.

Btw, anyone knows where I can get more more information (Maybe a tutorial or something) about the different options in the Ati tray tools program that came with the driver?
(I checked the sticky thread at the top of the forum "Ati tray tools advanced tweaks" and the link given there is dead).

they're all pretty self explanitory, & the advanced ones are just...... too advanced/just tweaks, & not exactly related to gaining or dropping performance

if you dont know an option, google it/ask
