Unable to overclock my new 2600pro AGP

Hello every1, Im new to the forums yet i keep reading the posts being written here as the info is very important.
I recently bought a new HD 2600 pro AGP by GeCube, and currently running on the latest omega drivers, after testing it with the catalyst 8.3 and 8.2 hotfixes (as u all know the AGP seems problematic atm).
the issue is, i cant seem to overclock this card, the Ati Tray Tools cant determine the clocks and dont allow an overclock, using riva tuner i tried to overclock yet no change in real clocks, the temp kept same even when i turned it to 200 Mhz over the bios which shouldve made it a ' bit ' hotter.
not to mention my 3dmark06 and aquamark suck.
my overall system is this:
Athelon XP 3200+ barton
ABit NF-7S rev 2.0
2x512GB Ram dual channel
Win Xp SP3
seagate 120GB SATA
and the brand new HD 2600pro Gecube

I understand the system isnt much of horse power but is the results i get are normal?
aquamark gets to 52,290
3dmark06 gets around 2200 (minor changes from test to test)

thanks very much for replies.

the aquamark sounds about right

ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT and 2600 Pro Review: 3DMark06 Benchmarks & the 3dmark

in the end, what matters is how your games are & if you're satisfied

i'd move to 2gb unless you're not playing stuff like battlefield

if you're stuck on an lcd with high resolution then you'd really need some overclocking..

so did the official cats not work? what about ones before agp broke? (pre 7.7 if i remember)

The 3dMark score sounds about right too. The 2600 is no performance beast and that CPU you have is also holding it back a bit as well.

All things considered I'd say that overclocking the card won't make much difference, your cpu will be what's holding it back anyway.

My previous card 9800pro worked well with my current drivers (7.12 based omega's), it determined the clocks and allowed me to overclock normally.
now what it does is showing me my clocks are 0:0.
On the normal catalyst it didnt even allow me to overclock via overdrive.
Once i unlocked it, the bar was stuck, i had no options up nor down.
Is this something common on the AGP HD2600 cards or something is wierd just on my machine?
Btw PSU is 420W Thermaltake.
