TV Appi "always on top" problems

Hi,
I've got winxp sp2 and the x800 radeon card,

I continue on and off to have a problem with the TV appi's "always on top" function.

Often when the tv "fires up" (for lack of a better term) I just get a dark screen with the sound...then if I switch to thruview (either window or desktop) it will appear, and I can go back to whateer size window I want and it will show, but then dissapear if I change channels or how I'm viewing it again.

I also run DesktopX and Actual Windows Manager...

And I can't figure out why, but for a few weeks the tv appi worked PERFECTLY the way it was supposed to without the above problems, and all of the sudden it started acting up again, and I can't remember having changed anything!?

If anyone can give me some advice I'd really appreciate it!
