CATALYST 3.4 now available

Sorry about the cancellation of the 3.3 set guys.

Nonetheless now the 3.4's are available and there will be updates to:

1) the driver
2) the Multimedia Center
3) the remote wonder

For anyone who has a RADEON 9500, 9600, 9700 or 9800 make sure you head over to www.divx.com for a RADEON enhanced version of their player. Also make sure you check out all the new stuff in Multemedia Center (EAZYLOOK) is really cool for the home PC concept

oh ya and did I mention there a few performance boosts found here and there

All installed, 1 weird problem I see thus far, the scroling on websites and all is jagged as hell...It skips and all like when it is in VGA mode....It doesnt roll wihh wheel right, or with scroll bar... Just wanted to pass this along...

You need to make sure that ATI Smart is running in services. To check if it is, right click on My Computer ----> Go to manage ------> Click on services and there should be a list, with ATI Smart and ATI Hotkey poller in the beginning. If either is on disabled, right click on it and enable it.

I always get this turned off after I install new catalysts, and stuttering like hell. But this fix almost always works.

ahhhhhhhhhh when going to play half life it says open gl not supported by my card, and all of this damn jagged stuff. Whats going on here..Im gonna have o go back to 3.1 here.....wassup man

Looks like the Escape bug was fixed.... but the FPS problem everyone was experience is there and worse then ever... Instead of going from 100->50fps, it now goes from 100->40fps.

When will the ATI site be completely updated?

When I choose my OS and Model, I get a page that displays the 3.2 drivers. If I remove "mirror." from "mirror.ati.com" in the URL, it displays a page with the 3.4s. Are these the official 3.4 drivers and control panel?

Make sure you are getting rid of all reminants of the old drivers before you install the new ones.

1. Uninstall the old Catalyst drivers.
2. Disable or unplug your net connection (WinXP only)
2. Boot into Safe Mode and Run Driver Cleaner.
3. Reboot normally, install the Cat 3.4 drivers, reboot when they ask.
4. Install the Cat 3.4 control panel set, reboot when they ask.

Should be good to go after that...
