"Just Install Them"

WTF is that supposed to mean? If it would "just install", then I wouldn't post it on this board.

Well,

If you will have another look at your original post you will see that there is not much info on what sort of problems you are experiencing.

Therefore I gave you the most reasonable answer to start with "just install them".

Now, if that dosen't work I suggest that you inform us of what problems you are having and possibly someone will be willing to help.

That also assumes that you "Loose the Attitude" and be willing to work with someone to resolve your problem with the drivers.

To me when I see that that says The new drivers are not installing what should I try now.

It doesnt say I just downloaded the drivers what now?

It says he wants to know how to get them to work.

Now the question is have you tried the reference drivers yet khai? What error is it giving off when trying to install?

Just to give ya a way to get ahold of the reference drivers without digging heres a link to it

http://download.ati.com/drivers/part...4m-004274c.exe

hopefully they will help if not keep posting more info and well solve it

The installer just doesn't recognize the card. I tried with Cyborgs new inf file (the beta's he's testing right now), and still no go, all the info for the card is in the inf files.

hmm...try using their feedback option or contacting the maker of your notebook to find out more info

one thing that just popped into my head to ask is if you tried cleaning out the registry first.

I always get the inf error, can't find drivers. If I use the manual install with an edit inf, it tells me that the drivers don't work with W2k.

Default Post my testresults with mobile radeon

I am using a mobile Radeon (M6) with my spanking new laptop (P4@2GHz

Using the standard ATI mobile radeon drivers that came with the laptop (version 6.13.10.6015), all runs well.
Using the latest Omega drivers (Omega/Plutonium XK1.0.71b) OpenGL runs a bit better and faster, but any direct3D game that uses DirectX8 crashes! Warcraft3 for example locks up after 5 seconds in-game. Using Counterstrike with direct3D works (I think that uses direct3D 7).

WindowsXP tells in it's bluescreen that is't a fault in this file: ati3d1ag.dll.

Installing the latest reference drivers from ATI doesn't work with the setup.exe, when I install them using the ini-file, I cannot play any 3D game any more, weard stuff is going on on screen.

I hope these Direct3D problems will be corrected with the latest version of the Omega/Plutonium drivers ! That would be soooo sweet

(also posted in Omega/Plutonium XK1.0.94 on the way! thread)
