driver colour problems omega + hd3850
I recently upgraded my graphics card to a hd3850 PCIe, its nice and i am happy with it but i have this strange problem with the Omega drivers.
it seems that red and blue are switched. not in all cases, but when i go to pick font colours for instance it will say blue and appear red, vice versa. the blue "welcome to skype" is a light orange aswell. i tried with the proper ati drivers and the colours are ok, but in that case i cant strech the image to fit my tv properly. i would like to continue using the omega drivers, but the colour problem is starting to get to me. in gmail the links for indox and drafts appear red (only in firefox, not ie). seems to be definatly a driver issue, but i was wondering if there is some setting in the p,ega controlpanel to get teh colours displayed correctly. thanks for any ideas ciaran heres what i mean by weird

seem to have fixed it now, i throttle down the hardware acceleration slider bar in the troubleshoot tab of the windows display driver. says it disables "cursor and bitmap accelerations".
its annoying not to have the card running at full capacity though. any ideas on solutions? |

actually to get rid of the problem completely i have to throttle down the slider to "disable all but basic accelerations"

The problem probably stems from the version of Catalyst that the latest Omegadriver for your card is based on. I remember that the official ATI Catalyst driver had this type of problem around version 7.12.

Enabling clear type was the workaround for that old bug.
