Hi there and welcome to DriverHeaven!
Yeah ATi is now owned by AMD so that's why Dell is showing AMD/ATi drivers. Anyway you can use our mod tool to mod the desktop drivers to work with your mobility chip. Get the tool here : link |

Re: ati2dvag blue screen
Hey Guys. I'm having a very similar problem. I get a blue screen on the same ati2dvag. I am very knowledgable with computers and drivers. Anyways, here's the history.
We got a refurbished Dell studio 1735 laptop from dell yesterday. It had Vista on it, but obviously for our office, we wanted to put XP on it. a task i've done many times on other brand laptops. I knew finding drivers would be the hardest part. I found this link, which has most of the drivers: Index of / Pretty helpful. I installed the drivers listed on that site. The computer rebooted, logged into windows, and i'm thinking everything is fine. Then after 30 seconds, the screen turned black. I had to hold the power button down to reboot it. Long story short, i've tried a lot of drivers including modding the ones straight from ATI for the desktop ATI HD 3650. In vista, the graphics card was an ATI mobility Radeon HD 3650. I've tried the 8.11 ATI driver, 8.10, 8.5 and even the omega drivers. I went back and tried the same drivers from the site above since those actually booted, but now it also blue screens! WTF. Maybe i'm looking for the wrong drivers from ATI? in their mobility section, it doesn't list anything for HD 3650. does it go by another name? I know the drivers from the site above mention M83 or M86? something like that. Anyone have any info that can help? Please. I'm desperate. I'm about to give up and put vista back on it unfortunately. |

Re: ati2dvag blue screen
Also, when I got the laptop, and turned it on right after I got it out of the package, when Vista booted, it had hundreds of little black lines all over the screen from left to right, and made it almost impossible to read anything. I thought it just had a bad driver, but I wonder if even in Vista this video card won't work. I.E. a hardware problem...

Re: ati2dvag blue screen
Well, FYI to anyone who may find this post in the future. I re-loaded Vista Ultimate on it, installed the Driver from the Dell CD, lines all over the screen. Downloaded a more updated driver from Dell's website(oct 2008), same lines, and the computer blue screened within a minute of being on. I called technical support and went through a bunch of testing an remote control from their tech. Same effect. In the end after working on this for about 6 hours so far today, Dell is sending someone out to replace the board inside the machine. I'm not sure if that means the entire motherboard, or if the video card is separate and they are only replacing that. The plan is to try to re-install the newest dell driver after they replace the board. I hope that fixes the problem. Maybe I can even go back to XP after the hardware is replaced....
