New Problem

I was running 3.8 ver Omega drivers and could moderately play RF Online with a ati3duag.dll critial error. now i upgraded to the most recent Omega driver, and i can't play it at all due to Directdraw errors.

comp specs:
Windows XP SP3 (and i tried to find the HotFix program, when i did, it just said NO because i have SP3)
ATI Mobility Radeon 7500c
512mb RAM
40gb HDD
Intel Pentium 4
LCD Flatscreen

EDIT: i'm trying to find the old 3.8.442 omega driver for ATI Radeon Mobility 7500c AGP card for my laptop.

basically its a Dell Inspiron 5100 Laptop built in 2003.

I tried using the dell M7 driver, but i get the same error! am i doomed to use old drivers?

help!

Essentially, the answer to that last question is, Yes. One of the main reasons is that ATI stopped supporting any non-DX9 video cards with the 6.11 version. That's the last version that supports what is now called, Legacy cards. Any video card from ATI older than the 95xx series falls into that category.

EDIT: To clarify, since the modded drivers, made by those e.g. Omega, are based on the officially released drivers, it will be highly unlikely that any of the newer modded drivers will have support for the older cards as well.

As to where to find the older versions of Omegadrivers, there should be a link on his website...if it's still up. I haven't personally checked them out in ages now since I've moved on to Vista...and Omega doesn't make drivers for Vista. (At least not as of this writing.)
